Happy Wednesday!
I cannot believe it’s October!! I really do love this time of year. I like to light fall scented candles when I get home from work to help me unwind from the day. Not to mention my house smells amazing!! And who doesn’t love a chunky sweater?? One of my favorites this season is here.
It’s currently a rainy week here in Western New York, but we had the most gorgeous fall Saturday this past weekend! Bright blue sky with a high of 58 degrees. It was perfect to head to the apple orchard to pick apples. I picked a 1/2 bushel and they are in my sink right now waiting to go in freezer bags until I have the time to make applesauce. I made it about 4-5 years ago and it (surprisingly) turned out really good!!
My favorite spot to go is Becker Farms in Gosport, NY. It’s about a 40 minute drive from my house, but it’s the cutest place! We get to take a wagon ride over to the orchard and it’s so much fun!!! I was born and raised in the country, so anytime I get to relive my youth (and my country roots) I’m all in.
