Happy Wednesday Everyone!!
Although I was home from my full time job yesterday feeling a little under the weather.. I got to thinking maybe I should do a post on the importance of getting your z’s and taking some down time. We all need a refresh sometimes. Not only is it good for the soul.. but it’s good for the body too.
My bedtime routine is SIMPLE…
I get 7.5 to 8 hours of sleep every night or I cannot function. (Everyone around me will tell you that too)
I get up at 5am (do not adjust your reading glasses) every morning for my full time day job. That’s right… blogging is not my full time gig. (someday.. maybe) So when 9pm rolls around, I am upstairs washing my face getting ready for bed. I like to be in bed by 9:30.. hopefully sleeping by 10pm. One (or two) glasses of wine before bed will certainly help that process along.
The best part about sleep? The pajamas of course!! Call me crazy, but I ask for cute pajama sets every year for Christmas from my parents. I’m like a kid in a candy store when it comes to pajamas! LOL!
But in all seriousness.. it is so important to get your beauty sleep. I have never been one to hit the snooze button. And if I sleep in on the weekends, I tend to feel groggy for the rest of the day. I tend to get up an hour or so later on the weekends than during the week and I function so much better.
